If necessary I can help with the first breastfeeding. After this I will suture any perineal tears, weigh and measure the baby together with the parents, and do the newborn exam (U1).

Medications for the baby such as vitamin K are only given after consulting with the parents. To observe the condition of mother and baby I remain at your home for about 3 hours post partum, help you get back up on your feet for the first time, tidy up, and fill out the important paperwork.
